My McALEER Family came from the Dromore area of County Tryone Northern Ireland. The Family emigrated from Ireland in the late 1890's some settling in Glasgow, Scotland, whilst others made the longer Voyage to America. After the Second World War, members of the family born in Glasgow choose to take advantage of British emigration schemes and relocated to Australia and Canada.
