THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of Sarah Henstredge of Ringwood in the County of Southampton, Spinster. First I direct my Executors here in after named and appointed to pay all my just Debts and Funeral and Testamentary Expenses. Then I give and bequeath to my sister Rebecca Avery of Lymington In the county of Southampton, Widow the Sum of Sixty Pounds. To my Sister Martha Bennet of Langton near Blandford in the County of Dorset, Widow the sum of Ten Pounds. To William Henstredge my Nephew now living at the Crown Inn Tap in Ringwood aforesaid the sum of Ten Pounds. To my niece Hannah Drodge (the wife of William Drodge) of Ringwood aforesaid the sum of Five Pounds. To my Nephew George Henstredge the son of my late Brother Thomas Henstredge the sum of Five Pounds. To Elizabeth Henstredge the Widow of my deceased Brother Thomas Henstredge the sum of Five Pounds, and to Elizabeth Chamberlain of Ringwood aforesaid widow the sum of Two Pounds all which said legacies I hereby direct my Executors to pat within three months next after my decease. And I give and bequeath my wearing apparel unto my aforesaid two Sisters Rebecca Avery and Martha Bennet equally between them Share and Share alike. And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my estate and effect whatsoever and whosesoever and whether consisting of money Household furniture or otherwise I give and bequeath the same to my Executors Upon trust as soon as conveniently may be after my decease to sell dispose and covert the same into money therefore to pay one fifth part or share thereof to my said sister Rebecca Avery. One Fifth part or share thereof to my said Sister Martha Bennet. One Fifth Part or share thereof to the children of my late Brother Edward Henstredge to be equally divided between them share and share alike. One Other fifth part or share thereof I give and bequeath to the Children of my Sister Ann Wallen to be equally divided between them and Amongst them Share and Share a like. And I hereby appoint my nephew the aforesaid William Henstredge and William Drodge of Ringwood (who married my niece Hannah) Executors and Trustees and declare that their or in Receipts for any Sum or Sums of Money which may come to their hands shall be good and sufficient discharge. And I also Direct that it shall be Lawful for my said Executors and trustees to retain to themselves or pay to each other all such all such Costs Charges and Expenses as they or either of them shall or may incur sustain or be put unto In carrying into Execution the trusts  and directions of this my Will or relating thereto And hereby revote all former or other Will or Wills by me made and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed and set my hand and seal this twenty second day of April One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty One.

On which day appeared personally William Henstredge and William Drodge the executors named in the written Last Will and Testament of Sarah Henstredge late of Ringwood in the county of Southampton Spinster. And made oath that the said Sarah Henstredge died on the third day of June 1852. And they were duly sworn well and faithfully to administer for and they further made Oath that the Goods and Chattels rights and credits of the said Sarah Henstredge Deceased did not amount in value at the time of her death to the sum of Two Hundred Pounds as the verify believe – Before Me C H Maturuin
